Heat Pump

This is part of a heat pump. One advantage of a heat pump is that it has the ability to heat a house rapidly and the potential to use other climate control devices. One disadvantage is that it is difficult to zone because the furnace supplies air to the ducts at a single temp. This part of the heat pump is the compressor/condenser. It cools and heats the air from outside and send it inside to the air handling unit.
